Trail Maintenance Starts Early For Team Marty’s
Is that really Mike Rossi doing TM? Inconceivable!!!!!
Mike Rossi, Bill Dove, Jennel Santos and Joaquin Canizales headed out early this year to begin their community service hours by performing trail Maintenance at Ringwood State park on Sunday April 10th. The project at hand was the continuation of the Ramapo and the Ringwood trail network merger. Please visit www.jorba.org for more information on upcoming trail maintenance opportunities.

Essex County Squanders TM – No MTB Sticks
The South Mountain Conservancy held their Annual Meeting last night at the Maplewood Library. Among other topics, the topic of the Sustainable Trails Initiative and proposed Mountain Biking Pilot was touched upon. In addition the Press Release below was circulated.
The take-away: the good will of our volunteers is being taken for granted and its clear that Essex County is unwilling to make a decision on this the adoption of the Mountain Biking Plan. Essex County residents will need to convince the elected representatives that mountain biking is a legitimate activity in the reservation and that the pilot should be implemented this Spring as was promised at last year’s Annual Meeting. ‘Singletrack Mine Mondays’ Trail Maint. returns to D.M.P.

We will be meeting at the Mine Hill Beach and will be walking in for continued construction of the Beach Connector Trail. Please bring work gloves if you have them.
